Markets are looking for the Fed to drop hints that the time frame for the first rate hike may be moving up from the current mid-2015 expectations. The meeting will be accompanied by an update to the Fed forecast as well as an hour long Yellen press conference. It was a busy morning on the economic data front. Retail Sales were able to outpace expectations as did the preliminary look at September Michigan Sentiment. Business Inventories were in line with expectations. The euro is holding the 1.29 level and has been able to push higher off the support.
